It is a highly risky proposition to DIY your wedding makeup, but it is not impossible, and certainly challenging. The motto for this venture is that of the Boy Scouts: Be prepared.
1. Start by taking care of your face and body well before the wedding.
Make sure you get lots of sleep and rest. Avoid stress as much as possible. Drink lots of water to ensure that your skin is nicely hydrated and plumped up. Exercise consistently to achieve that healthy glow and to push all those fluids through your pores in the form of perspiration. It is also good to keep out of the sun to avoid freckles and to ensure an even skin tone. Exfoliate regularly to rid your skin of dead cells - this ensures a smooth canvas for superior makeup application later on.

Now, apply foundation with light pats. For finishing powder, I use pearl powder. It is, again, completely natural and gives the skin a radiant appearance.
Next, the eyebrows. To ensure a natural application, apply brow powder using a brush - instead of using an eyebrow pencil, which gives the brows a harsher look.
For the eyes, apply a light eyeshadow over the entire lid, and a darker shade near lash line. You want colours that are as natural as possible. Then apply dark eyeliner on your upper eye lid - start from the inner corner of the eye, extend outwards, and flick up slightly at end of lash line. On your lower lid, apply a light eyeliner - nude or white in colour. Start from middle of eye and extend towards the
