Starting a house-cleaning business

There are many housecleaning businesses in operation, however there are few really good ones. It is important when starting your business that you place a lot of attention on how you can make your housecleaning service stand out from the rest. Since many people complain about the unreliability of cleaning services, perhaps your concentration could be on delivering dependable staff. You could also place extra attention on making sure your cleaning business delivers top-notch service since the quality of work seems to be something customers are often dissatisfied with. Be sure you can be at the customer's house when you are scheduled to be there. If you plan on hiring an employee or two it is important to hire people who are the most reliable. Have a back-up plan in place should an employee fail to show up when they should. Always remember since this is your business and you are ultimately the one responsible to pick up the slack with situations like this.

It is also very important to stay on top of how your staff is performing. You must dismiss employees after they have not corrected the issues you have alerted them to in a reasonable amount of time. Staying in touch with your customers to get their feedback is also beneficial.  If you should receive any complaints always be more than willing to correct the situation. Depending on what the situation is you can go to the customer's home and re-do what they were unhappy with or if you feel confident in an employee you could send them. If it is possible for you to have a dress code for employees this will eliminate any potential problems. It seems to work out nicely if your dress code is beige, navy or black cotton pants.  If you are in a financial position to purchase a couple shirts for your employees this is a good idea. Consider a polo type shirt with short sleeves. You could have the name of your business embroidered onto each shirt. Go with colors such as navy or beige. You could also have the polo shirts in brighter colors such as pink or purple. This is
