Mothers Day is celebrated to show the love for mom
To give thanks to the times you kept us safe and calm
Mothers Day is celebrated to show how much we care
For all the times you dressed us, then curled and fluffed our hair
Mothers Day is celebrated to tell you how we feel
For all the times you soothed us cause the monsters seemed so real
Mothers Day is celebrated to make up for all the grief
Even though you deserve a year because a day is just too brief
Mothers Day is celebrated because you give me hope
For all the times you cried with me, you taught me how to cope
You're my hero and my home which is why i choose today
To celebrate the love you give, today on Mothers Day

of their little posers
and kissed their hurts
and washed their T-shirts
