The true "Shock and Awe" about the Iraqi front in the War on Terror is watching the incredibly erratic behavior of the democrats, who have now become the Party of Surrender. At their recent Winter Meeting, they had a Muslim Imam lead a prayer (wow - prayer at a DNC meeting... watch out, you might alienate some liberals from the voting base). This Imam is a known supporter of Hezbollah, and he has been sighted at anti-Jewish protests making anti-Semitic statements (Oh, never mind... it was a religious leader who supports our enemies - liberals will be cool with that). In this prayer, he thanked 'god' for speaking through Abraham, Moses, Jesus and Mohammad (all prophets according to Islam). He then proceeded to implore 'god' to stop the war and to destroy the 'occupiers' and 'oppressors...' Do we really have to wonder whom he was referencing with that statement?
As far as the so-called leaders of the democrat party (of surrender), I could not say it any better than President Lincoln:
"Congressmen who willfully take actions during wartime that damage morale and undermine the military are saboteurs and should be arrested, exiled or hanged."
To stand on the floor of the House or Senate and declare defeat while we have troops on the ground, with the outcome very much in question certainly qualifies as sedition, if not treason. If they're against the war, then they should have the courage to put their vote behind it. To pass this meaningless resolution exemplifies cowardice. This resolution benefited no one except our enemies. If the democrats want to line up with our enemies, then they should at least have the courage to stand in front of our troops, since they obviously do not stand behind them.
By the way, current numbers of those responding to their Congressional representatives regarding the recent vote on the House resolution against the war show that a majority of those who have written in are opposed to the resolution by a margin of 54% - 46% (check out www.Congress.org). I know this is unfair to a lot of homeless and high-school dropouts who make up a large contingency of the democrat voting bloc, who were obviously unable to participate in this duty of citizenry. I am sure dems will be able to think up some government program to make sure that everyone has an equal opportunity to write their Congressman.
There is a cure for liberalism. It is called private education.
