As I await my coming fate
Apprising well, that nearing date
This night I stay up late
Weighting issues to equate
I have been judged to have done wrong
To be sent to a place, where evils belong
There's a chair, here somewhere, to end my life
To end my pain and grief, my stress and strife
I wonder now, if the judgement was right
For all I did, was to defend my honor that night
I tried to reason with words, but then turned to fight
Over an argument, that now seems so slight
I did not entend for James to meet his end
He fell to the ground, where a shard of steel was bound
Now here I await, a date, with a hideous fate
Wondering if it was meant to be, because of violence in me
Is it the way of man, to learn that he must understand
That in order to persist, he change his ways to exist
I think I an Innocent of hate, his death a twist of fate
I should have turn away, now I curse the coming day
Do I think it is fair, that they are shaving my hair
That my loved ones will have to be there
That I must face the responsibility for my liability
I really don't know, but in the end, It's with God I go
