What do you do when life doesn't make sense?
When the things that should be there seemed to have jumped the fence?
All the things that were right have gone horribly wrong?
Your beautiful ballad is an off-key choir song?
It becomes quite tempting to sit and give up.
When there's always a half empty to your life's cup.
Everyone's out to get you, so why should you try?
Who would care, anyway, if you just lay down and die?
But what will that do for your trials and trouble?
Sure, you can say, at least they won't double.
But trouble and woe comes to all at some time.
You are given two choices, to fall or to climb.
Climbing is hard, you'll get bruised and battered.
You'll begin to wonder if it all really mattered.
But when you're at the top, you'll realize how much it did.
And you'll wonder why from some of those 'troubles' you hid.
Falling is easy, no sweat and no tears.
You can easily avoid all of your fears.
But you'll come to nothing, falling doesn't make heros.
When all your acomplishments add up to zeros.
Maybe you'll think you're not worthy anyway.
You'll never be a hero, you'll never have your day.
Well, of course you won't! You'll never shine!
For as long as with that attitude you're fine.
Heros aren't born, heroes don't just exist.
They don't sprout out of the ground or appear in a mist.
The only way to be great, the only way to shine above,
Is to work, to try, and for yourself have love.

I am powerful and unstoppable in the face of adversity.

You saved that little 6 year old

Heroes remain hidden
in the shadow of the light,
they oft go unrevealed
until wrongs need setting right.
Heroes display bravery,
An unsung heroes destiny
Maligned becomes a memory
Though it's just some chemistry
Closed my weary eyes, it's you I see
I can't

I get this wondrous chill as night falls
in mountains or desert sand
and I find myself dreaming about
