An Angel came to my side

With the blowing leaves rustling by.

In my hands was the bleeding heart,

Darkened by tears from which my own hands had ripped apart.

As the Angel stood aside

The only silence was the wonder I felt within his eyes.

I held the heart close in my grasp-

With each pulsation a tighter grasp.

I felt the Angel embrace my head

With his warmth I sensed his disbelief.

No words were spoken a connection spoke at high decibels.

Sending images, emitting emotions to my mind.

I heard him say," Look Up At The Light"

Turning to him, loosening my grasp-

Only tears the angel saw falling from my eyes.

I couldn't speak, frozen in time.

My eyes met those of an Angel-

An illuminating beaming light wrapped in a smile

Dried those tears I once had cried.

The Angel knelt before me,

In an instant the darkened heart was a mere fading image

Disappearing into the heavenly light.

I met his gaze again.

Without a word, the whisper came clear-

"Only Love Was Shown, Only Love You Shall Receive"

A sense of calmness, a sense of peace-

My eyes comfortably closed,

The sacred presence of the Divine disappeared with the opening of my eyes.
