I'm sticking pins in the drawing board

But I'm getting nowhere 'cause

I'm just making holes.

I'm trying for plan B, but,

Can't even find plan A, so, 

How can I make progress in this life?

Sticking pins in the drawing board.

However much I scratch the surface,

The tunnel's way beneath.

There is no light ahead - 

I'm all holes and no thread.
