We are always writing about the horrible things that our teens do in this day and age, but that will not happen in this article.

I have two wonderful teenage girls. The oldest is seventeen, the youngest is thirteen. They are not straight A students, and they have tried smoking, drinking, cussing, and I'm sure there are things that I do not know about yet.

Every child has a different personality that is wonderful watching through the years developing into great teenagers. Out of all my kids, (which include the girls' friends) they are so very funny. The creativity that flys from their minds amazes me. They may say very off colored sentences, they may call each other names, and they may listen to music that is degrading to most human beings. In all reality they make you laugh if you listen to them. That is no different than most shop talk, or adult talk when the friends are hanging out drinking a beer.

They have interesting ways in seeing the world and when they are given the oppertunity they will enlighten your outlook of a gray day. They will always love you when given the oppertunity, and they will always look out for you too!

They will say please and thank-you, they will carry the groceries for you, they will go to the store for you, they will watch the little one for you, and so much more. If you treat your teens with the respect that they require, they will treat you with the respect you deserve.

Remember they are only human. They will try the same things that we tried when we were their age, and they will push you to see how far they can get. But take the time to listen to what they say, what they think, and how they feel about anything and everything. They will prove to be your best friends.

Teenagers are wonderful!
