The initial silky strains of my shaky lament
Fall on entrenched, lonely husks
Never again to see places of steel and cement
Forever lost in this swaying field of sweet; content
With pumping sun, incessant breezes,
The miracle of spiritual wine to spiritual water
I could live in a world of swooning, tender ears
Stretching to every syllable, murmuring
Bound and tortured by my sadness and fears
Mesmerized by the myth of wise and wizened years
Enslaved by my insecurities,
The miracle of eternal life to eternal death
I'd love to weave tangled and twisted tassels
Of doubt and uncertainty
Expose my core; reveal hidden, crooked kernels
Of confusion; distorted and deformed by conceit
A psychopath stalking madmen
The miracle of total light to total darkness

The Lost Souls
I once met an old man in a dream,
A dream that was not all that it seemed.
