Sitting In Class
Sitting in class
Pondering, Musing
Others with their heads laid back
Eyes closed, Snoozing
Girls giggle and tease
Boys sigh and sneeze
Lights go dim
A movie begins
Time slows down
It nears the end
I suppose it’s better than lecture
But it’s only a screen with pictures
Ringalingaling
A cell phone sings
It stops before the teacher can tell
Because if he found out
He is sure to yell
Finally, as the bell goes off at last
Students leap from their chairs
Never running so fast
