There is more than one reason for our existence. Some of these reasons are: to learn to be a responsible steward of this world by taking care of it, to learn to love and to learn to live. Being a responsible steward of this world means to take care of what we have. This includes ourselves, our beliefs, values, traditions and our being. This also includes our possessions, other people, animals, plants and environment. I think many of us choose to not care about being responsible stewards of what we have. I know many people who do not take care of themselves, they forfeit their beliefs, values and traditions for various reasons. Such as peer pressure, people-pleasing, for higher income and for fame. To forfeit in order to gain fame, for example, can be negative because the values replacing one's original values may be more irresponsible toward oneself and others. To be irresponsible in this way may cause a degradation on future generations because they are influenced by the negative values.
Love is defined , I think as, something that brings harmony within relationship. TO learn to love means to learn to live in harmony in order to exist. Love is the opposite to hate. Hate brings discord and destruction. Hate destroys our existence. Life with only hate, that is without love, leads to nonexistence.
Learning to live means making mistakes. The lessons from our mistakes shape our life. I see life not as a continued straight line but a line that wavers. There is no such life as one without mistakes. Mistakes are results from events in life.
Learning to live means events. So why do we exist? To learn to live from our mistakes, experiences and events. In order to experience life because life is filled with events. These events can be small or big. For example, a small event might be waking up in the morning. This event is inevitable because one has to wake up sooner or later.
So why do we exist? We exist because we are to learn to be responsible stewards of what we have, to learn to love and to learn what life is by living. Living by learning from our mistakes, experience and events. These are inevitable in the course of living. To learn to love is essential for the continuation of our existence therefore it is an important and necessary lesson in life. Without this lesson there is no why for our existence. With love we exist. Also our learning to be responsible stewards is another important lesson for the continuation of our existence because our future depends on us taking care to preserve it.
