A Friendship Between A Large Dog And A Small Dog
Friendship Is Beautiful
I had a beautiful Dalmatian dog who has gone to his reward in heaven. We had him for 12 years before he went to dog heaven. He was a very large Dalmatian dog because he was a mixed breed. He was beautiful and very friendly. He was a friend to every member of our family. He played no favorites.
Our Dalmatian Dog named Spotty lived in our Florida room with access to the backyard. The door to from the Florida room and backyard was always left open. We wanted Spotty to be able to go in and out of the Florida room whenever he wished to play in the backyard.
We were really surprised one morning when we found Spotty sound asleep, and cuddled around the little dachshund dog from across the street. It was the sweetest sight in the world, to see such a big dog cuddled up with such a small dog. They were best friends.
The little dachshund dog had managed to dig under our garden gate, and find his way around the house to the Florida room. From that morning on, the two dogs were inseparable. Almost every night, the little dachshund dog was Spotty’s overnight guest.
Our children had overnight guests all the time, so I guess Spotty thought he could have one, too. He had much to offer the little dachshund dog, because there was a swimming pool in the Florida room. The children had grown and thought the pool was too small for them. Soon no one ever used the pool anymore.
I think that perhaps, Spotty and his little dachshund dog friend were the only dogs in town with their own swimming pool. They romped and swam together in the daytime and slept together in the nighttime. The little dachshund dog only went home to eat. I guess his owners were glad that he had found a friend, and didn’t mind his being at our house all the time.
This little story of two dogs shows how important friendship is, and that friendship is even possible between two dogs. We loved Spotty and we were very glad that he found a dog that loved him, too. I believe that dogs are man’s best friends, however that doesn’t stop them from being best friends with other dogs, too. I believe that friendship is the most important thing in the whole world.
