"Don't Look Back"
The sunlit sky burned the endless edges of a boardwalk
that led to nowhere and everywhere,
tear stained moments spent in memories
so painful that the mere thought was edged deeply in her aged face
and yet there was an eternal mission that burned at tattered soul
that lived without receiving a mere bit of affection
now that that they were gone to a better place.
And yet, she longed for the precious time that had faded
into a sense of nothingness, no solace, no hope,
evaporated into a life of utter apathy
with a paint by the numbers horizon
that blended into one.
She was alone
to ponder, to reflect, to better understand
where it all went wrong and left her barren and cold
in even the heart of summer.
And she knew it was over,
the dreams, the hopes the aspirations,
of what could be...never was..never would be..
And in her mind she knew that she could never look back
because it was no longer there...
gone forever..and so was she.

Don’t Look Back
My hands’re empty, you’re flying away
A dream fading in the cold light of day
The lover
by Jishi Santos
Don't look back cause you can't go there,
physically I mean, maybe in your head
but that won't do you no good unless
you learn
Keep walking, don't stop, don't look back
For if you look back, then you may want to go back
Moving forward taking one step
Don’t look back
If you do you might have a heart attack
You have to keep
Moving forward, don’t ever sleep
Things
"Don't Look Back"
Into my heart you have engraved your name
so deep into it that it's there to stay
I've never forgiven
