The sun is rising over the fields
chasing the mist away
dewdrops sparkle
on cobwebs in the grass
the world awakes
gentle sound of grazing deer
an elk stride across the meadow
towards my garden
he stops
looks at me
and change direction
a braver animal hops right into my garden
a hare looking for nibbles
with a smile on my lips
I watch my parsley vanish
how peaceful my garden is in the morning
how peaceful the world seems
like there were no sorrows
no grief
I breathe in all the scents of sunrise
it gives me hope
it gives me strength
I am ready to face the day.
