A long, long time ago back in 1993 I began my experience with the Internet. Downloading pictures at the rate of one per minute. Wow I knew I was hooked. As I went to college I had at very fast connection and downloaded music for all my friends at a rate I had never experienced. This is all well and good, but now I have found something that is so much more effective and amazing that it opened my eyes to what effects it could cause. Torrents are this semi-new technology that let me see the whole world from the comfort of my own home.
But it leaves me to wonder while I'm downloaded movie after movie, hours after their release in the theater does this effect the movie industry in a negative manner. Am I never going to see a movie if I get the really, really, big trailer recorded from some guys camera. The point is that I have slowed down my movie going quite alot, but with a family and a three year old that didn't really help either. Its funny, but I have almost become a promoter of the movies that I have seen that are halfway decent.
As a new movie critic in my own mind I let people know what to see in the theaters and typically they do go and see them based on recommendations. So Movie Industry I apologize for downloading your movies ahead of time, but hopefully their are millions others like me looking at the movies ahead of time and telling their friends.
This wonderful new world is open to you too with sites such as HTTP://www.demonoid.com and HTTP://www.isohunt.com. Check them out and become the movie promoter and not the movie pirater.
