Lots of people want a free ride, something for nothing.
In my experience, the lions share of private land that's been posted, has been closed due to littering, vandalism and other abuses of the land, by those who think a few bucks for a Hunting License gives them the "right" to do as they please, at others expense.
Corn is $ 3 a bushel, Soy Beans are $ 5.
A deer doesn't eat nearly as much as he knocks down and destroys, but the cost to the farmer is the same either way.
And Property Taxes just go up and up, as does the fuel it takes to plow and plant.
So "Cry me a River" about the good old days, when freeloaders were allowed to run rough shod over their neighbors property.
I don't owe you Squat.
I've never turned anyone away, who asked permission to hunt, or ever charged a dime in "Trespass Fees", but I certainly understand why many people do.
