You Left A Scar On My Heart
When you left this world, mother dear
You never realized what you have done,
You left a scar upon my heart
I see your angelic smile, in the setting sun.
No, it's not a scar of pain that won't heal
But that of a scar that I can share,
The words that you have left in my memory
And the way you showed you care.
You showed how strong your love was
And you always had a healing touch,
Whether it was to kiss away a boo-boo
Or wipe away a tear, just as much.
Your memory will always stay with me
And I will carry them wherever I go,
When your birthday rolls around each year
Or Mother's Day, just to let you know.
Yes, this scar you left upon my heart
Is one that makes my heart shine,
Because I am happy to have had
A mother like you, I can call mine.
Happy Mother's Day mama, you'll be missed
And you'll always be remembered fair,
Your love, your wit and your wisdom
Will always be so easy to share.
I love you mama.

Mothers Day is celebrated to show the love for mom
To give thanks to the times you kept us safe and calm
Mothers Day
Dear Mum
On this very special day,
What I really wanted to say,
Was thank you for all you’ve done,

Primroses and buttercups line the hedge way home
White foxgloves standing tall, gathering all as I roam
Little fingers plucking
Mother’s Day, delightful, full of reflection.
I think fondly, gratefully of the young woman
So far away in that distant

To all the mums
who have wiped the bums
and snotty noses
of their little posers
and kissed their hurts
and washed their T-shirts
