Diet myths that sabotage your diet

Alright ladies let's be honest, now that summer is here what is the first thing that you think of? The birds singing or the beautiful colors of all the flowers around you? Two words come to mind: no way. I'll be honest with you, the first words that pop into my head are " bathing-suit" and "hips". Then I start to remember those extra plates of pasta ( I'm a pasta fanatic) and those extra scoops of ice cream that I should have said no to.

If the paragraph above describes you too, then chances are that like me, the word "diet" has come into your brain on more than one occasion. Well before we put ourselves through the "bathing suit diet" ( I call them that because that is my end goal is too look good in a bathing suit.) there are a few dieting myths that we must get out of our heads if we even want a chance to succeed.

1. The Miracle Pill.

Ladies, there is no pill that will shed the pounds off you over night. Believe on this I have tried and spent literally hundreds of dollars on it. While there may be some natural supplements like green-tea and hoodia that may help to boost your metabolism, these substances are best used under the direction of a doctor or a dietitian. If you have a question about natural fat burning substances just ask them, they have the knowledge to be able to safely help you. Otherwise, ladies do not waste your money on the pills.

2. You don't have to exercise, just eat right.

Well that statement is half right. While to lose weight and keep it off you do need to eat right. You also must exercise, its the only way to burn off those extra pounds. If you don't exercise while eating right you aren't doing much for your body. Exercise also helps your body to cleanse all the bad stuff out of it. As you eat healthy things like fruits and veggies, you are getting a lot of the vitamins and minerals that is necessary for your body to live and function. They keep you going by getting rid of the nasty stuff inside your body and replacing it with fresh healthy nutrients that allow it to function at it best.

3. Miracle cleansers

Stay away from any cleanser that has not been okay-ed by your doctor, that's just asking for trouble. While cleanser may indeed be good for the body, they do contain chemicals that make your body shed water weight fast. Therefore while you may appear skinnier at the end your body has also been stripped of it vital nutrients. The only person that should recommend a cleanse to you is your doctor. This is especially true if you
