Poetry: One last time

Found are the remains of your lost civilization,
Secret phone calls, text and emails,
Each day our home cracking at the seams.

Found is the soul of a demon Queen reborn,
Lighting strikes, waves crash and rain falls,
Washing away our strong foundation.

Yelling into the night,
"What do I do now?"
If I were stronger, my love would be stronger, our love would be stronger, we would be stronger

But you're gone,
Faded into the past,
Keeping promises to a demon,
Holding on to a history that time would rather forget.

Standing alone I hear a whimper in the dark.
Turning to see shadows of happier times,
Faded memories in shades of gray,
A glimpse in a broken mirror reveals weathered tracks running down my cheeks,
A trail of tears.

I am broken...

One last time I beg you to stay,
One last time we walk down this road,
One last time you tell me you love me,
One last time I let you back.

One last time?
