Nature's Diva
Oh, those first few dates, you were as gentle as the spring you were named for.
Your lilacs bloomed, pale, sweet lavender
even the hummingbirds hovered round your smiles and wiles.
Lulled and intoxicated by the wine of your warm days
and to awaken to the truth of your fickle, feminine ways.
The cold, keening wind, sharp as a a shrew's tongue
bends the delicate bushes that were your finery.

playfully caressing
the leaves
as they cross paths.
Whistling, singing.

Wind swirls
Know not how
Gentle breeze
Across your brow
Rustling leaves
Musical sound
Quaking aspens
Dearly found
Winds
As gentle as a mothers kiss
upon her babies face
As forceful as some nitroglyce’
Explosive to erase
As kind to push
