Poetry: Frozen emotions

by E Kuzmenko

Created on: May 03, 2010

The serenity of the day that immersed the desire

the need for more was present in the sunshine

Time as if a ravaging animal

came too soon to take you

And I stand watching them pull you out

drag you through the light that continuously shines

I watch the smile you make when you laugh

but that laughter has coldness

that leaves me delighted with satisfaction

knowing that your misery still lingers

But who am I trying to punish

if not myself, I do not know

Inside I feel nothing

This emptiness that embraces me

Beyond what you can see

i long for that time to come back

Believe the way it was before

I will not mourn

the frozen emotions

will come alive

because she's not dead

and my will continues to be read
