Reflections: My life as a writer
Looking back on when I knew I was a writer, is when I was sick with my Cerebral Palsy. I spent most of my time indoors with cast on my leg or arm all summer long. So, I started reading books and I had a lot of favorite authors and I love reading romance books. So one day I just got finish reading romance book, and I was think out loud I could write a romance story better then this one. So, started taking a notebook around with me ever where I went so, when I got into high school we had a newspaper, and I started writing little short stories in side the paper, is was very funny to see my name at the bottom of my story. My teacher read some of my stories and she said that I have real talent for writing. It brought tears to my eyes, because these stories were special that I wrote. Have never had any schooling for my writing I write , I just sat down and wrote. My life as write started out with writing a few short stories for my school newspaper, and teacher was very empress with one of my stories she asked if she could have have a local writer read my story. She said the same, as my teacher I have talentI think, as a writer I have a lot learn as writer, from other writers. I have always dreamed of being writer growing up as child. There is many things that I can't do with my Cerebral Palsy, but writing is one thing that sets me apart from people, I can sit down at my computer and just start writing. And sometimes can write for hours and a time. I write about things that I know and things that are important to me. Being writer is very important to me. I stay at my computer writing everyday that I can. There is so much I need to learn from my craft from our writers. My mother always told me that GOD gave me is disability, because he knew I could handle it. And she knew I could handle it, because I don't let anything stop me from doing what any other person can do. When I tell people I am a writer, they say, oh you can't make money off that , get real job.
