What have we done
Long ago Women:
Tended the house
Wash the dishes
Clean the clothes
Bathed the children
Cooked the dinners
Long ago Men:
Went to work
Mowed the lawn
Paid the bills
Financial supported the family
Women wanted rights
That decided
Women can do men’s work
Who is left to
Tend to the home
Watch the children
To always be home
When a child is sick
Women’s rights now means
To many workers
No parents at home
Lower pay for all
Women have no rights because
Now they have to work too
To make ends meet
Try to tend to the child
But they have to work
Try to clean the home
But there is no time
The children suffer
As the parents have no time
Childhood is cut short
As children are forced
To tend to things at home
That women used to do
Women’s Rights
What have we done

I am She . . .
I am she
who cares for her children.
I am she
who loves unconditionally.
I am she
who will defend her family.
