I am more than likely the only person on earth that wishes they would have never gotten a degree. I had been attending school at every duty station we went too, and finally after 4 years of starting over every time we moved I chose to attend an online school. That was the biggest mistake I could have ever made.
Not only did I have to borrow so much money, I am feeling now it was a waste of both time and money. My first graduation was December 2004 that was for my Associates Degree, there was enough of us in Pensacola Florida to have a stage graduation and I had to miss it because of a family reunion we had to attend before moving. All of the moving was why I started attending an online school in the first place but the only time I had the chance to make it really special for me I wasn’t able too, because of something.
While we were living in Hawaii, I did finish my BA in Business with a minor in marketing, of which I alo obtained online from the same school. Something I know now that I didn’t know then was that the classes I was taking cost 10 thousand dollars a class. Which is outrageous and seriously overpriced, it goes back to if I had known then what I know now I could have changed a lot about my life. Lesson learned but we will be paying for it for a long time.
I did graduate with my BA in Business in Hawaii I think I mentioned that before. There were enough of us finishing at the same time to have a stage ceremony and myself and my 2 children went and they got to watch me walk across the stage and get my degree. My husband was serving in Iraq when I finished college so he wasn’t able to be there. But everyone of my family members knew I was graduating and not one of them even called me to wish me congratulation. I don’t feel getting my degree was worth it for me because now I cannot work because of my health and all that school and money just wasted and my poor husband is going to have to work that much harder to make sure they are paid.
