A flower in your hair
tiny petals
innocent white
and a few pink
like your cheeks
blushing
sweet scent of summertime
uplifting perfume
joyful smiles
words spoken softly
wishing for everlasting summer
everlasting love
but autumn came early
before time
etched in my memory
etched in my heart
a tiny flower
blushing petals
blushing cheeks
a blissful smile
and the voice of an angel.
