Childhood memories, who of us doesn't have them ? Naturally it varies from one person to another and also the timing of which memories you remember and from when .
Childhood memories are varied from one person to another , from very beautiful and rosy to the worst possible memories and sorrows. It has nothing to do with wealth , it has to do with the kind of family you were born to. Memories can be wonderful ones from the wealthiest of the families to the poorest of the families and the contrary is just as true.
Most people start remembering from the age of 4-5 on depending on the event that happened. If you broke a mirror at the age of four like me or flew at the age of five in a plane over 16hours, seeing a burst pipe of water and the water flying high into the air or being sent to a holiday camp you did not like for a few weeks these memories remain well embedded in your mind .
If you have a traumatic youth , with many disasters in your family and sometimes divorces , that would be memories that you would remember of course. When you come from violent homes or problematic homes your memory would never forget these moments.
One day i met The Game , the singer and i had read that he had gone through a terrible violent youth, I was meeting the week thereafter lost children of the age between 3 and 8 in a home , and so i decided to ask him for advice. I asked him what was it that he missed most around that age and what advice he could give me ? The answer was very simple , listen to them ..... Let them talk and let them feel that someone listens to them. I know that my meeting with the kids will be something both they and myself will always remember .
When i ask around me people close to myself about their youths , i get unbelievable answers and stories from varied extremes sometimes . They range from being taken care like a princess, to be beaten , to be imprisoned at home , to have the father burn down the house and the mother saving two daughters and running away with nothing.
Some people want to forget their childhood memories others cherish them, whatever they were it is difficult to forget them. Childhood memories influence us and our way of life for all the years to come. In fact most of us don't know it , it starts when we are in the womb of our mother, that is when we are formed and our taste and hearing are beginning to be defined.
