How many newspaper headlines have we seen forewarning us of the imminent demise of civilization? How many news shows begin their broadcast with devastating photos of storms, fires, droughts, famine, floods and any other natural calamity? Then the information that follows these attention-grabbing teasers details how global warming is bringing a swift end to the world we know. As readers or listeners, it's hoped that we latch on to the message and carry forward.

Throughout the industrialized world, the message is the same. Unless we change our habits, such as how we live, drive, eat, and work, then we must accept responsibility for our own demise. As a result of being beaten down by this message, this hoax of global warming has gained traction

Gloom and doom is the message of the day. Feeding off the lack of acumen of those in lock step with the global warming alarmists, many countries, the United States included, are being taken down a path of no return. How this happens and why the general populace allows it, is a lesson to be learned.

For many years, there has been a silent call for change. This discussion has been taking place behind closed doors amongst the most powerful people who believe the world needs new direction. Their idea is driven by political gain, i.e. power, and with this newfound “might,” an accumulation of enormous wealth

For instance, since its inception, the Trilateral Commission, a little know entity, has been working hard to tear down the sovereignty of the United States. Its international members continue to devise policy on how to exploit global warming through increased taxes resulting in more control on how we live our lives.  

The parent of the Trilateral Commission, the Council on Foreign Affairs also has a stake in the global warming hoax. Richard Haass, the current president of the CFR has stated, “That a system of world government must be created and sovereignty eliminated in order to fight global warming..” 

In essence, the use of this hoax drives the idea for the United States to give up its self-rule, thereby giving full authority to a worldwide governing body.

Finally, as reported by Christopher Horner, senior fellow at the Competitive Enterprise Institute, “Assistant Secretary of Energy Cathy Zoi has a huge financial stake in companies likely to profit from the Obama administration's “green” policies.”

Mr. Horner goes on to say, “Zoi not only is in position to affect the fortunes of her previous employer, ex-Vice President Al Gore, but that she herself has large holdings in two firms that could directly profit from policies proposed by the Department of Energy.”

And so it goes, with each passing day the misinformation continues to be spread through the print and electronic media. Unfortunately, those entrusted to report fair and accurate stories ignore the real story of how power brokers throughout the world are using this hoax of global warming for their political and financial gain. No doubt, this push will continue unabated unless the populace becomes educated in this constant barrage of propaganda.
