The Tea Party Just a Whine and Cracker Party

First of all, I don't know the agenda of these Tea Party grass roots revolutionaries.  Are they against taxes? Big government? Democrats? Republicans? Bailouts?  Staving off a Depression? Healthy people? Anti-gun laws? Abortion?

Any 'party' that sees Sarah Palin as "hostess" is definitely not an elitist party. The dumbing down of America has been happening for years, so what is the big surprise?

Pick up a 1950s math text, the ones that press students into learning percentages, fractions and scores of basic formulas. Now try to get through the book without use of a calculator or even an I-Phone App.

Anyone can see, it was a different age. (People worked, people paid taxes. People watched Leave it to Beaver... not listen to some teenage moppets discuss their beaver on a VH1 reality show.)

We have a public school system in America that, right or wrong, allows every young American the opportunity to seek (and sometimes get) an education. Nothing wrong with that, right? Well.. somebody's got to pay for Bobby and Marilu to get this education.

Our veterans who came back from service a little bit different from how they went in? Our handicapped? A caring soul would agree to, at least, most or part of that equation. Who does NOT deserve healthcare.

The shiftless "I don't want to work and pay my share" types? Illegals? The homeless? The unwed teen parent? The unemployed? The underemployed? "Get a job, Loser!" Is that where we have landed? Or is that we don't want the government to force us to buy insurance... and maybe pay for someone who doesn't work like we do?

OK.. What is Big Government? I like supporting the Arts. I like schools. I like roads. I like agencies that check the quality of my food, air and water. I like outer space.

I like the police, firemen and soldiers who protect and serve me in ways I sometimes never fully appreciate. I am willing to let them take a percentage out of my dollar to pay for them.

Sure there a lot of agencies.. pork barrel... and wasted dollars. (We can stop paying to protect Canada Geese any day now!)  But I like grants to fight cancer, find new energy sources, and reward those out finding ways to
