been speeded up due to excessive man-made air pollution. Everyone just thinks the entire world will get hotter BUT is is just the "average" temperatures that will increase. The poles will get warmer and the polar caps are already starting to recede but different areas will be affected in different ways. Some areas will actually cool down. Some areas will see excessive rains, while others go into droughts.
I, personally, have seen two changes in MY local weather patterns.
1) I was in Mississippi in 1974 and 1975, they had citrus trees and wild poinsettias growing along the Gulf Coast. I went back in the early 90's (1990 - 1995) and they had all died out due to colder winters.
2) I moved to Arizona in 1995. Since we moved here, we have seen a trend of cooler summers and warmer winters. Our extremes are are no longer as far apart.
