Poetry: Eternity

by Petronius Arbiter

Created on: April 29, 2010

ETERNITY

As birds in flight, he comes and goes

With no regard for reason.

Like rivers, time eternal flows

And alters life each season.

Let me know of all tomorrows

And see my yesterdays;

I'll damn them both and borrow

Ten thousand more todays.

Tomorrows never come to pass,

Todays are never-ending;

And yesterdays could never last,

Eternity is pending.
