Spending St Patty's day in Iraq:

Sitting here tonight contemplating how to make up the time I'm going to miss out on this year. The Drinking, The Dancing, And the jollyment that is included in the affairs. But to me thats not going to be possible. I'll be in Iraq with thousands of other fellow Marines taking care of what needs to be taken care of.

But this is not meant to be a pity party for me. Actually kind of looking forward to all of us with our required Green PT Shirt on counting for the Green and drinking the neer beer while watching Boondock Saints on the big screen. Moment like that are hard to come by and in that environment welcomed by all.

So while I could be drunk at a bar with a kiss me I'm Irish sticker on, I'll be with my Troops and Fellow Marines thanking God that were here to see another day. So with that I'll see all of you next year for a hell of a night where I'll make up this lost holiday and drink with the best of them. Happy St Patrick's Day and may all your Beer be green and all of your women just as pretty the next morning.
