People really need to look beyond their fears and see the reality behind this issue. What's the real problem? Who is really behind it? What do they want to have happen, when they present us with the question, How do we deal with the illegal immigrant problem in the United States?
The government has done something about undocumented immigrants, well at least about a million of them anyway. Our government has managed to mismanage wars and its own financial crisis so that not even illegal immigrants want to stay here now. Yes its true, in 2009, the Department of Homeland Security announced that the numbers of illegal immigrants entering or reentering the U.S. had dropped for the first time ever. The numbers nationally, had dropped by about a million and in California, the illegal immigrant sanctuary of the world, it's dropped by a 250,000, a quarter million. This decline is what has actually sparked this debate as to what needs to be done with the ones who are hanging tough through America's recession/depression. The government has been using the media of late to present the problem of illegal immigration, and a lot of people are taking it to mean a rise in illegals entering the country. Most media are intentionally vague, because the reaction they seek from this problem is that the American people demand a solution! How do Americans get solutions? By voting! Soon Americans are going to take one of two sides, the first will be: Arrest anyone with brown skin and make them prove they are truly red white and blue, if they can't prove it deport, deport, deport! Okay, first of all regardless of what some Arizona politician says, this is unconstitutional because it demands racial profiling. It may take some time but the Supreme Court will eventually be forced to do away with that bit of legislature. So, then, the second option which the left will already have embraced, will be to make those who are here, and law abiding, automatic citizens.
Their logic will be, hey we couldn't starve them out ,and now they will pay taxes! Let's document them by making them legal and if they break the law, like any immigrant they will be deported. For anyone's information that hasn't given the taxation part much thought. They have been paying taxes. They pay sales tax, homeowners tax, and rental tax just like everyone else. True, income tax they probably
