Warm summers call for indulging in boating and water activities. Good weather and pleasant evenings are ideal time for entertaining on your boat. Hence, it is essential that you are fully prepared to invite guests and entertain them on your boat. Rather than taking your friends and family to expensive restaurant, you could decorate your boat and enjoy a memorable evening together. Few simple tips can make it enjoyable for entertaining on your boat.

Theme boat parties

Whether it is a surprise birthday party, celebrating an anniversary, reunion with friends, or any family get together can be organized on your boat. You could plan to entertain on your boat by decorating it with string lights, balloons, flowers and flags. Adding a theme to the party or event on the boat can make it more exciting to celebrate.

Music system on the boat for entertaining

If you like socializing, throwing parties for friends and family, then you would like to play some nice music for your guests aboard. Adding a karaoke to the boat stereo can be fun. The guests on the boat can try their hand at singing and music. Boat stereos need to be waterproofed and handled with care. Even though they are priced a little higher than regular music systems, they would surely be appreciated by your guests on the boat.

Boat size and guest list

Everyone would like to attend a boat party. However, as you make your guest list, consider the number of people that can be accommodated on the boat. If your boat can carry 30 people, always keep the guests limited to 25 to avoid accidents and crowding. Gently explain the guests about the boat etiquette and rules they need to know while they are on board.

Safety and first aid

Always keep the first aid box with essential supplies needed for any emergency. Explain your guests about using lifejackets. If you have kids at the party, ensure that they are supervised by their adults at all times and have a lifejacket on.

For people having larger boats, they could give their guests a little tour of the entire place. Also tell them how to use the restroom, walk safely on the deck and not to touch the console and buttons that steer the boat. As the boat is being docked, ask the guests to be seated till the boat is securely tied.

Apart from decorating the boat, having music and taking care of the safety, have some good snacks. However, avoid foods with heavy cheese and mayonnaise and sauces. Take the guests for simple cruises, bird watching trips and explore the area with your friends to have a good time together. These simple tips can help you to entertain the guests on the boat for them to remember for long time.
