Poetry: Prisoners

Prisoners of the World

We steal from those who cant defend themselves.

We fear for our lives, and those in our clique on a daily basis, not caring about anyone else or their cliques.

We hurt or kill those that are weaker to defend our crew which means nothing, or to prove masculinity.

We violate others so we feel big, and strong.

We as a prison segregate ourselves because of a belief or personnel choice.

We are all here for a purpose, trying to service society one way or another, and repay our debts.

But at the end of the day, when we return to our cells, and lay in our cots, asking ourselves how did things get so bad?, and
who is it that returns home after a hard days work without having any regards for someone they don't care for?

Is prison life so different from today's society?

It don't matter who we are or where we come from because we are all prisoners of the world.
