This is really a ridiculous concept. The saga is really very perfect the way it is. The only way to continue the story line is to either add more to the original trilogy after Episode VI, or to make spin-off movies about, say, the life of Han Solo before he met Luke Skywalker in that bar at Mos Eisley. This would really just dilute Star Wars and take away from its splendor. When George Lucas created the story for Star Wars, he actually wrote the entire saga out as those 6 stories, the first three: the story of Anakin Skywalker, and the last three: the story of his son. The problem with that in 1977 was that he only had enough funding for the one movie and no one knew how the public would react to it. As the popularity of Star Wars grew, however, he was able to continue the original trilogy and 30 years later, finish, or maybe more appropriately, start, the saga by adding the prequel trilogy and completing his story in its entirety. This is beautiful. George Lucas has already publicly stated that there would be no more Star Wars films.
Even if he were going to continue, though, many problems would still arise. What actors would be used to continue the work that Mark Hammil, Carrie Fisher, and Harrison Ford had already started so many years ago? Could we really see Luke Skywalker played by anyone else? It simply would not be the same, and could never be. If anyone is curious about the lives of these characters after Episode VI, however, one can always turn to the works in the "expanded universe." Several novels and comics have already been devoted to continuing the Star Wars story, and have really done a marvelous job at it. It really is a story better off told in novel form than in films, because there is really only so much a movie can tell you. This way, you can leave all of the special effects to your imagination, and if you really must, you can run out and buy the soundtrack and play it while you read.
