CONSUMES
Revenge rages forward
from a dreadful decision;
from betrayals and broken promises,
stirring my ferocious vision.
Revenge plotted, revenge planned.
My agitated and battered thoughts
become a waiting profound relief;
trumping deceptions’ pure deceit.

the wage of my revenge.

Can a heart overflowing with love
become that icy teeming with hate?
The sweetness has turned bitter;
sinking into its abysmal fate.
Revenge is frozen, revenge is sweet.
Revenge is mine; wheezing at my feet.
It consumes my soul, my every pant.
Yet… it is I… who loses blissful sleep.

Blisters won't stop me walking
miles of dread to get away
and from spitting at your picture
