What is Salvia Divinorum?

I've bought via internet grams upon grams of Salvia Divinorum for purposes that range from smoking it to ceremonial rites. Of all those who I've shared this plant with only 2 of maybe 24 or 25 people experienced any sort of real hallucinogenic properties. Most experienced a 20-30 second rush and a "wave" sensation. The grade of Salvia was crude, straight - the highest solid potency there was at the time. (For all I know now there could be much higher now) After the sensation dissipated I was left with a disgusting "dirty" feeling, as though my body had known chemicals within it had not belonged in ME. In the end, in solid form I found to be a mild short acting form of saltiva.(pot) Several places sell an even higher concentrated version of salvia divinorum coined "Emerald Bliss", which I can vouch for in saying is a much more powerful and smoother way to feel the same rush. However, when it comes down to it, if you're into natural consumption for purposes other than sustenance, then Shrooms is the way to go. It has a much less harsh after effects, with a greater inner feeling of peace and accomplishment.
