My hubby’s new very favourite yogurt is Danone’s Activia Fruit Layer Raspberry. It comes in a pack of 4 pots packed together with a cardboard sleeve. Each pot contains 125 g yogurt with fruit layer. The pots are made of white plastic which is quite transparent so you can see the fruit layer on the bottom of the pot and the white yogurt on the top of it. The raspberry fruit layer is red of course and there are some raspberry seeds in it which I don’t really like but they belong to the raspberry so you can be pretty sure that it contains real fruit (or at least the seeds hehe, sorry).
The yogurt is naturally quite sour if you don’t mix it with the fruit. The fruit layer is quite sweet so after you stir them well the result is a pink and not too sweet yogurt with fruit. I like it but I prefer the prune to this. We bought them is the local Sainsbury’s. They were on offer so two packs of 4 pots (8 pots) were for 3 pounds. It is nice that we like different ones with my hubby as he eats much more yogurt than me. He doesn’t like the prune yogurt so they are safe. I prefer those ones because the prune yogurt is sweeter and I am very sweet-toothed.
The taste of the yogurt tastes really like raspberry yogurts usually taste and it is sour and sweet at the same time. The texture of the yogurt is creamy and after you mixed the yogurt with the fruit layer you can see small fruit pieces and seeds in it.
As this yogurt is an Activia yogurt it means that it contains Danone’s yogurt culture called Bifidus ActiRegularis. Activia yogurts help to reduce digestive discomfort. Well I eat yogurt every day and I don’t have any discomfort so probably they really work.
The ingredients of this yogurt are: Yogurt with Bifidus ActiRegularis (Whole Milk, Skimmed Milk Concentrate / Powder, Cream, Yogurt Cultures), Raspberry (9.2%), Sugar (5.8%), Fibre (Inulin), Glucose-Fructose Syrup, Stabilisers (Modified Maize Starch, Sodium Alginate), Flavouring, Colour (Cochineal), Acidity Regulators (Calcium Citrate, Sodium Citrate, Citric Acid).

In my opinion this is a delicious yogurt made for raspberry funs. I don’t belong to them although I tried this yogurt. I like the fresh raspberry but not the processed versions of it. It is sour and sweet at the same time and the yogurt has lovely creamy texture. It contains yogurt culture for easier digestion. You have to keep them refrigerated. They are rally nice treat so it is worth having a few of them in the fridge. It is worth buying when they are on offer. You have to shop around because somewhere they are always on offer.
I rate it 5 out of five because in raspberry yogurt category it is really good. I just don’t really fancy processed raspberry but this is my taste. The yogurt is highly recommended.
