 Happiness is an elated feeling we experience at different periods in our lives. It could be an end result of our emotional experiences as we journey through life. Happiness is contagious-it can be passed along, shared or even gifted.

To a certain extent our happiness is dependent on the way we choose to perceive things.

 Karl Von Humboldt clarifies aptly, "I am more than convinced that our happiness or our unhappiness depends far more on the way we meet the events of life than on the nature of those events themselves.”

We all desire to follow the path to happiness; but most often we don't know how. It would therefore be beneficial to assess happiness-and the process required to process it. Let us examine some of the attributes that contribute to generating happiness.

* Attitude

Our attitude- the direction of our thoughts can be primarily instrumental for our happiness. Tuning our mind to having the right attitude is the key. Having a right attitude instills confidence and inspires us to pursue our dreams. Our talents, accomplishments and wealth do have a part to play. However, these are no guarantees for ushering in happiness to your life.  Rather, our happiness grows when we share it with others.

* Inner Value

It is how we value our inner self is what matters. Recognizing who we really are and our sense of inner value is important. It helps to endorse our feeling of self-worth and motivates us to better performance.  Believing in ourselves, our inner worth and in our potential is significantly important to being happy and staying happy.

"Happiness comes when we believe in what we are doing, knowing what we are doing and loving what we are doing."-Brian Tracy.

* Success

Success brings us happiness. Success comes to those who seek it. It is the end-result of planning, focusing and hard work. Success boosts our ego and raises our self-esteem. It energizes us to perform better and validates our feelings of self-esteem and fulfillment -especially when we receive compliments from those who play an important role in our lives.

* Associations

People, who we associate with, can contribute to our happiness. Getting around right happy people transmits positive energy. It's best to avoid toxic people who constantly moan and groan about their problems. Positive affirmations and feed backs from our associations with positive thinking and happy individuals could make a big difference to our entire lives.

* Respect

Happiness is an experience of winning our own self-respect along with helping others to win theirs. To extend our hand and uplift those in need, can bring us extraordinary happiness. We tend to gain a lot of respect when we respect our fellow brethren and strive to inspire all those we meet. How true it is: "Those who bring sunshine to the lives of others cannot keep it from themselves."-J.M. Barrie.

* Conclusion

 When we learn to process every segment of happiness and use it effectively to suit our needs, when we make a deliberate effort to savor and enjoy every moment of our lives, we can find some vital aspects of happiness.

Challenges always come; there will be continual stream of obstacles along the way. But ultimately it will be your decision, your choice to find happiness or not.
