Africa's madness
Cry cry the heart of the African child
Echo the screams of the fires
Trample the hope of freedom
Kill the innocent, fear the tyrant
Cry cry the heart of the African child
Lies become a disastrous cure
"Kill the boer" becomes a haunted famine
Ivory bleeds as the night darkens angrily
Cry cry the heart of the African child
Enslaved forever within circumstances
Bound by promises with no deliverance
Poverty eats away, as the rich sees only ignorance
Cry cry the heart of the African child
All colours united, yet stained with blood
The silent war which the world chooses to ignore
Africa is bleeding, the world is blind...

coursing through my veins.

willing my arms to move.

unconscious of reaction.
