Poetry: Dark & lonely

by C. William White

Created on: April 23, 2010

In darkness, when

Stars and the Moon

Are smothered by clouds,

I walk a lonely road

Destination unknown.

Unfulfilled in every

Human nature;

The trickle of days

Are slowly

Passing me by.

I seek the sun and its warmth

Laughter of children at play,

But for now,

My vision is obscured

By the dark

And loneliness.
