Beautiful

When I first saw you, it was pure exhilaration.

My heart quivered, at once moved by your sensation.

Just one glance into your pretty brown eyes,

I caught my breath, for in that moment I was mesmerized.

You smiled, and I made only this one evaluation.

My heart had found its wings and my soul its salvation.

Your beauty out-shined the rising of a thousand suns;

And when you spoke I became completely undone.

With tender rhapsody, you had captured me as wave upon the sand. 

As a melody that came back to me over and over again.

I tried desperately to recover, but you dissolved my inhibitions.

To know you and possess you became all of my ambition.

Now, here we stand in this chapel as I declare to you my love,

before our cherished family and friends as we vow unto our God:

to walk this life together in loves beauty and its grace,

to share our lives together in a sacred way.

A diamond is forever, so with this ring, I thee wed.

To be a loving, faithful partner is my solemn pledge.

You were beautiful first I saw; albeit nothing can compare

to the diamond you have become whose heart is O so rare.
