Forget Me Not
Blue flowers, smiling up at me, reminding me of my friend—
Who said please don’t forget me, but never a letter did I send.
Forgotten it’s true, my friend who cared so much for me.
How could I forget, the one who ran so often to set me free.
We laughed, we played, we ran, we climbed many a tree.
Forever we would remember we promised both you and me.
Yet somehow, time and distance has passed, and we’ve long forgotten.
Forgotten that we promised to never forget, but that was then.
My dear, please I beg of you don’t be persuaded to leave my memory behind.
Forever friends this is what we were, this is what we are; you’ve often come to my mind.
My dearest, look over yonder, I’ve planted many a blue “Forget Me Not”.
Letter’s true I did not send, but my friend for you my heart it is ever hot.
The fire that was kindled never did die.
Time and distance it has passed this is true, but my friend for you I’ll ever cry.
You were my heart; you were the only one I ever loved true.
Fast now come the years, but somewhere the flowers still dance blue…
Forget me not, my dear, because I’ll always remember you.
It is to you, my heart was given away no other can hold, this my dear it is true…
Forget me not, as I’ve never forgotten you.
Our paths separated; departed from one another, but my dear the flowers stand forever blue.
Blue “Forget Me Not’s” dancing in the fields, and under the trees, these will forever remind me of you.
Look around my friend I’ve never once lost sight of our love that was true.
Circumstance and life it may bring separation, but remember our story it was never told.
Perhaps, now you’ve forgotten as we’ve both grown slowly old.
But my dear, I’ll never forget you, as across the fields I watch yet another sunrise.
Perhaps, we’ll meet again, but if we don’t please remember I never stopped loving you, even as I die.
I’ll forever remember the times we shared, the love we bore, and the taunts we laughed away.
My dear have you truly forgotten me, have you forgotten the fields of blue where the flowers do sway…
“Forget Me Not”, as forever I will remember my love for you.
Laugh, and smile, walk away if you must but remember my dear; we once danced in the fields of blue…

Poetry: Forget me not
And slowly, so slowly, I fade.
Until like a wisp of barely lingering fog I drift.
Then as a whispering wind smears my vague
Forget-me-not,
Bluis h are the petals of this bloom
Growing beautifully near my grave
I am unable to touch or smell it
Buried
REMBERANCE
No frost on the ground, but each breath came as steam
and tears teetered on lowered lashes.
The moon was
The gift
A gift was given,
A life was saved,
But what a cost,
A family's grave.
The one unknown,
Her life was spared,
The greatest
When the rains come down
and it feels like no ones around
Forget me not.
When your eyes cant stay dry
and you wish you would
