Jamie drops herself into a black fuzz
Because she hates to think about what her man does
From those affairs, to the fists, to the flesh
She prays everynight begging God for death
It never comes and she's growing impatient
Suicide is a sin but hell she's already facing
Hell in so many ways, there's only so many days
That one soul can uphold hope, strength and faith
She's running out now, it's time to end things
She grabs a bottle from the cabinet and empties
And for the first time, in too many years
She feels true peace, and sheds no tears

Closer To The Door
You come home from work each evening
as though it's got to be

Troubled relationships
Knives and forks
Going wrong in life
Pots and pans
Being thrown at

Brink of divorce
Brink of

Soft gentle light a glow
On my bed hunkered low
Sweat pants and socks scattered on the floor
Orange and white Garfield
by dislike
What Happened to Us?
Fair masterpiece painted behind the rust
Metallic mask of rain and summer’s dead
Reflection
