Skin's health affects both appearance and texture of the skin. If you have blemishes, spots on your face, or dark circles under your eyes, it is time to take care of these problems and regain your vibrant and healthy look.

There are many reasons of dark circles under eyes. Many times these circles are the results of illnesses, allergies, exhaustion, lack of sleep or even may be due to heredity. They cause pigmentation or discoloration under eyes. Also due to thinning skin, fluid retention, iron deficiency anemia, and dehydration, these circles become more visible.

There are things you can do at home to start dark circles under eyes treatment. Use an extra pillow while you sleep to elevate your head. This can reduce eyelid puffiness. Decrease excess blood flow to the eyes by applying a cold compress. It is important that you remember to apply a good sunscreen and to wear dark glasses when out in the sun. When you expose your eyes to sunlight, it can make dark circles much darker. Find a good concealer to help cover up your dark circles.

Circles under your eyes are not normally a cause for medical concern. However, if the circles under your eyes become worse, or if they are accompanied by swelling and pain you should pay a visit to your doctor. In most situations, dark circles under eyes treatment can be performed with an over the counter cream that is developed especially for these types of discolorations.

The skin under the eyes is so delicate and thin, blood vessels become more visible especially as we get older. Pollen, dust, and hayfever allergies may also increase the appearance of the circles. Excess salt consumption and smoking cause fluid retention, which in turn increase the visibility of dark circles.

Another reason may be bad blood circulation. With cardio exercise, blood circulation of the body can increase and it may help the dark circles to disappear.Treatments are available now for dark circles and due to developments in technology and in cosmetics industry, many people find a chance to at least reduce the appearance of these circles. Additionally, laser surgery and home remedies are other solutions to dark circles problem.

You can get rid of dark circles with special under eye creams for dark circles. Eye creams shield and brighten up the under eye area. Enriched with vitamins and essential minerals these creams prevent loss of moisture and stimulate collagen formation on the skin. They promote blood microcirculation which illuminates the under eye area and gradually minimize dark circles. Most of these eye creams also reduce chronic puffiness surrounding the sensitive eye area and some of them stimulate and tone the skin around the eye area.
