I am drowning in dejection

The pressure suffocates my every breath

The suffering would be better

Had I been confronted with death

Everything I believed in

Everything we had built together

Became a false illusion

The foundation crumbled and withered

Eternal love you promised

Forever you would be by my side

Now eternity has an expiration date

Forever became a cruel lie

From out of the blue

You told me indifferently of the affair

I became shocked in pain

I wanted to yell, but can only summons a blank stare

You dare to ask forgiveness

You beg for me to understand

While you loved another

You still want me to be your man

Doubts ring through my mind

Too many questions to answer

My gut wrenches, my heart throbs

Your confession affects me as if it were a cancer

I want to blame myself

Yet I did no wrong to you, for God’s sake

You make it out to be my fault

As if I forced the hands of fate

Mercy you ask?

Forgiveness you beg for?

What about my life

What about the love I adored?

There is no second chance

No way to recover what has been lost

We are over, we are finished
