Poetry: The simple things

by Kay Shaulis

Created on: April 20, 2010

I don’t ask for much
Yet I need your gentle touch
I seek  the simple things
Love ,hope and joy
I don’t need diamonds
Nor earthly things
I don’t need to sit at the table of kings.
In your presence oh Lord is where I truly belong
Give me the simple things for they shall remain
In my heart to stay all night and all day
