INNER DARKNESS

There is a fine line between love and light,

of angels and demons, kissing at first sight.

There is a darkness that seizes us all,

it grips us tightly before we fall.

What is the difference between dark and light?

Why is it so dark to see in broad daylight?

Why do we fade away instead of stay strong?

Where was my guardian when I felt alone all along?

There was an angel at my door the other day,

she wept openly, without hesitation, as she called my name.

She looked right through me with crystaline eyes,

repenting my sins as if I would die.

I stared at her, not once blinking,

and I fell into the void - sinking, and thinking;
