FAREWELL MY LOVE

No more walks together,

No strolls on the beach.

Can no longer wake up together,

No longer awakened by your cold feet.

Now sunrises are lonely,

Watching the sun has lost it's meaning.

The only visions of us together,

Is when I am dreaming.

I will miss the special moments,

Will treasure the special times.

The love we once shared,

Was not easy to find.

Where it went wrong,

I really have no clue.

My nights are now spent,

Feeling sad and blue.

One broken heart,

Consequences of a broken love;

Thought we were a perfect fit,

Like a tight fitting glove.

From holding hands,

To the walks in the park.

Will never forget waking up together,

Or the times spent after dark.

Although it was special,

Nothing lasts forever;

As we part ways,

I will remember every endeavor.

Will still be friends,

There are no hard feelings.

The difficult part,

Going through the emotional healing.

We will move on,

Our futures are bright.

There is always a star,

At the end of the light.

Ending a relationship,

It's never easy at all.

But one thing is certain,

We didn't hit a wall.
